I have grown up around pets (mainly dogs) literally my whole life. They bring me great joy and I have a genuine soft spot for them. I find that I get along best with older dogs, regardless of size but I can also get along well with youngsters too.
The most recent pet I had experience with was a medium cocker spaniel. She was quite old and was taken care of by me and my sister until her owner came back from her overseas trip in Canada. In the last 10 years I’ve had/ taken care of a German shepherd (for 3 years), a jack/chiuahua mix (for 1 & 1/2 years) and a husky puppy for 2 years.
I have a fairly flexible work schedule that allows me to give great care. I also sometimes work from home, which is a big house with a garden and even close to a dog park. I also love teaching new tricks to the wonderful creatures and will never ever let them feel neglected in my care.
