Zoe & Guest's Pets
Hello! My name is Zoe Zeidan and I am from Lebanon. I grew up with dogs since I was a baby. My first dog was samouette the dog breed. Let’s say my destiny with dogs started with them having strong and hard to deal with personalities. My second dog is mix husky and caucasian sheperd and is current with me now. His name is tommy-the same name as my first dog as memory of him because he died. I had also 1 cat and took birth of 7 kittens that I had to take care of. My relationship was very strong with the mother cat because I never thought that a cat in general could give affection to me personally and that understands my needs. I took care also for a short period of time about 3 months of a male malinois dog and about 1 year of a female malinois dog that had cancer when she was a baby and I was next to her all the time till she got cured. It was a miracle and I feel grateful being part of that.
Dogs or cats just make my day because one part of my life I had severe depression and anxiety and my dog was and still an emotional support for me. I believe that petting a dog is equal to having social interactions, so my dog was fulfilling my need of not having friends when I first move to Finland. I’ve been here for 3 years studying international business. I enjoy also pets because I can talk with them and their response is not verbal so for me it’s very therapeutic and helps me to improve myself because I can listen to what I talk unlike with people sometimes. Honesty and innocence are always in the environment when with pets.
More specifically, me and my husky mix dog got graduated from a K9 training school in Lebanon. Keep in mind the most difficult dog to train is this breed so I can rank my experience with training 9 out of 10. It took almost 2 years to get graduated so it’s a long journey. I learned from this experience specially from this breed that my dog doesn’t need to be perfect but rather disciplined and to know his limits with me and the difference between each other. As well, to not react as seeing dogs or cats for the first time but act neutral towards them and social. And with my dog, as me to understand him that he will make mistakes and it’s okay. Also, to understand that some types of dogs or even people that he doesn’t like to respect his attitude and be careful not to let him out of leash in dangerous or leading situations. Even it made me learn that especially for huskies they are very picky eater and it will not work to let them eat what the normal dog would eat. Another example of flexibility is that not force him to get in the water of beaches even if it’s nothing of a big deal (it’s safe) but let him patiently to explore the water and just leave him do whatever he wants in this case.
In conclusion, the 3 most attitudes learned are: patience, patience and patience.
Dogs or cats just love me and I feel connected to them and I simply enjoy explore other breeds and get to know how they think. As well, I have unique stories with dogs that me learned indescribably to the point I got to relate my experiences to my personal life. Also, my training graduation got me to understand all type breeds of dogs because I got to train the most difficult dog.
I enjoy what I do because the existence of pets in this world is a blessing for us humans.

One memory I can’t forget that when my malinois female dog got pregnant, I was the only one that she would let me get near her babies because she remembered that I took care of her in all situations including the cancer situation and it’s kind like she felt I have natural affection.
