I have grown up with animals and currently own 3 cats. Besides owning cats for the last 10 years, I have rescued, rehabilitated and released many animals (snakes, bats, exotic birds, illegal wildlife etc). I would say that I share an affinity with animals!
All my past and current pets have been rescued as strays, two of three coming from a litter of five in which the stray mother gave birth in our house and left them with us. One of my cats have HIV and keeping him separate from the other cats have proven to be taxing, but necessary.
I have a strong connection with animals. With a background in horse riding and scuba diving, I am blessed to say that I have interacted with many animals beyond just household pets. My experiences caring for animals of different ages and health proves that I am accommodating and more importantly, invested in each and every animal I come across.
I get to be around animals that I don’t normally get to be with on a daily basis.
