Being with dogs and helping them become more fully alive through Natural Dog Training is 1 of my life's deep joys. I'm Mel and I'm a full-time dog trainer/behaviourist.
My story: Bindi is a Singapore Special and we found her as a puppy thirteen years ago when she was wandering around our neighbourhood. High-drive and reactive as a young pup, she led me to my mentor, Kevin Behan, the Father of Natural Dog Training. His revolutionary approach for understanding emotion and behavior has not only helped to heal her, but my own life too and many others around the world. It was always my dream to train with Kevin at his farm in Vermont, USA. Ten years ago, I went to train with him, and went back multiple times over the years, and lived on the farm for several months to assist the Behans. Kevin passed on in January just before the covid pandemic, and I am indebted to him for his wisdom, friendship and inspiration every day.
