Cat Hause Kitten Boarding @ Lakewood

Hi I'm a certified veterinary assistant and have worked in the field for 3 and a half years. I have 3 fur babies and a reptile baby and have always had multiple pets. It is very important for me to have a trusting respectful relationship with animals. I am very conscientious about each animal's needs both as a species and an individual. Every animal has a personality and I love getting to know that personality and making that animal feel safe being his/herself around me. I've always been the weirdo that talked to someone's pet before speaking to the owner. I've studied different breeds and species since I was little. My favorite thing as a kid was to go to the library and bring home tons of dog and cat books and I owned many. I always knew I wanted to work with animals when I grew up.
I have 2 silver bengal cats named Castiel and Crowley. They are my buddies and love doing everything with me including going on walks. They are both very active kitties and love to play and I love encouraging this. Crowley is a little shy about new people but warms up with lots of positive reinforcement. I also have a perfectly behaved (I have seriously never met a sweeter dog) German Shepherd Rottweiler mix named Missy. She is polite with both humans and other animals. She came to me this way and most of her training and all of her good behavior is due to her sweet disposition and training her new tricks and manners was a total breeze. I am very lucky to be her dog mom and very proud of her.
I am very good with both people and animals because I always consider the other person and what makes them feel the most comfortable. It brightens my day and fills me with love when I'm making others smile, wag their tail, or purr.
The tail wags, slobbery kisses, cuddles, and purrs of the pets I work with make my day. Us humans make a big deal out of everything and pets teach us to appreciate the little moments and to be thankful for the relationships we have with others. It's refreshing to me to take my eyes off of the first world problems we have created for ourselves and just "be" with a special dog or cat friend.

I have veterinary certifications from PIMA medical institute (more academic, medical, and clinical training) and Pickens Technical college (more hands on experience, grooming, animal husbandry, and behavioral training with multiple animal species. I.e. rabbits, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and other small animals including cats and dogs). I have raised ferrets, rabbits, a lovebird, a tortoiseshell, a tarantula, snakes, and many cats and dogs from a young age. I am CPR certified and experienced. I worked in the emergency vet field for a year and a half (the constant stress and animal suffering deterred me). I am very calm and focused in an emergency situation and a pets peak health is always my top priority.
