Maastricht Dog Sitting/walking @ Lanaken
Nikola & Guest's Pets
Hello :)) My name is Niki and I am 19 years old. Originally, I come from Slovakia, but now I live in Maastricht, Netherlands. I study at the Maastricht University, where I study European Law. If I could describe myself in three words, I´d say I am energetic, friendly and hard-working. I have done sports for my whole life and in my free-time I am happiest when I can spend it outside in nature. I love running and badminton especially, however, I enjoy doing anything that involves movement.
Apart from movement, pets play an important role in my life. From my childhood until this day, we always had animals present in our household. Fish, birds, rabbits and dogs were always parts of my family. Even though it was not always easy, because I grew up in an apartment we always managed to provide our pets with everything they deserved. I believe these circumstances taught me to manage my time properly, so I could go to school , do sports and also take care of my pets. For the last couple of years, we have lived in a house in a small village in Slovakia, which not only us but also our dog really enjoys. What did not change however, is his need for multiple walks a day as he was used to while living in an apartment. So even though he has a beautiful garden just for himself, his habit of going out still remains. This however was never an issue, as I always loved to take him for a long, quiet walk in nature (I always wanted to run too, but his tiny legs wouldn´t handle it). I miss him so much, as I couldn´t take him here. If he was to be here with me, he would also need to spend a majority of time alone, because I find it difficult to study at home and that would break my heart.
As I mentioned in a previous question, currently me and my family own a dog. He is a yorkshire terrier and a really special one because his color is brown. Actually, he smells like chocolate too! :)) In August, he is turning 7 and I can not believe that time flies so fast. We decided to get a dog when I was 12 and since then we cannot imagine our lives without him. He is the sweetest little creature full of energy, always playful and puppy-ish even though he is an adult now.
