I'm Marie and I'm an animal lover with 10 years+ experience working with animals. I've worked in dog kennels, rescue centres and have taken care of pets in people's homes for more than 5 years. While I work also as an english language teacher, I use petsitting and petcare as a side hustle that I really enjoy. I love working and spending time with pets and find I get to know all sorts of pet personalities on a platform like this which is fun and keeps my job interesting. I am a BA and masters graduate from county Dublin and accept most of my clients from here.
The services I offer include;
▪︎home visits/day care (cats, dogs and other)
~up to 1 hours feeding, cleaning and playing with your pet. For 2 hours, its the cost of a second visit and so on.
▪︎house sitting (cats, dogs and other)
~overnight stays for up to 2 pets or several small pets. Includes 1 hour of exercise/play, feeding, cleaning and general company
▪︎dog walking
~45mins-1 hour per walk
Please note I am travelling via public transport at the moment (which is not a problem) but you may want to keep in mind if you're requesting several home visits in same day. I love pets and have lots of experience with them but please remember I am not a medical professional or veterinarian.

I have had various pets throughout the years but I don't have any at the moment.
I have over 5 years experience minding pets and walking dogs. I have dog training experience and I am very open to different kinds of animals. I also have many clients who have been very satisfied with my services and reviews and messages that show this. I am loyal and trustworthy and understand the physical and psychological needs of your pet.
I enjoy spending time with animals. I like their energy, enthusiasm and overall will to live life to the fullest. I believe animals teach us and remind us of how we should be naturally. They are funny, quirky and compassionate. They're also quite therapeutic to be around most of the time which is definitely a great reason to work with them.

Summary.
I'm an experienced pet care provider as well as dog trainer. I have experience working as a behaviourist and trainer and have completed several courses on dog training. I work with dogs with various issues from severe anxiety and separation issues to overly excited or poorly mannered dogs and pups. I also work with puppies learning basic training skills and discipline. I adore pets and have a lot of personal and professional experience with them.

My training methods
My training methods include praise and treats as reward and motivation for the dog to recognise when they are doing good and to create a positive, exciting environment for the dog to learn. I also use clicker training if I feel it could be useful. An important element of the training for me is the energy that is around the dog, trying to always keep this energy calm, relaxed and positive to nurture the dogs confidence and form more positive association with the requests we are asking of the dog.
Results that can be expected to be delivered
Depending on how hard we work together and the consistency of the training, you should see results in the first week, minimally. For tricks and basic obedience, I've seen dogs learn commands in just a few hours. I wont be the there with the dog each day so really my aim is to provide the tools and skills to the owner so they can work with their dog each day and form a strong, trusting relationship. I am a human trainer as much as a dog trainer! So put in the work, don't lose patience and be consistent and you will 100 percent see results.
How long to expect results
It can take from a few hours to a few weeks to see results depending on what we are working with. If its a behaviour/emotional issue, it will usually take longer and you might have to be patient with this. With tricks, commands and obedience, you can usually see results within a week.

What are the expectations of your pet
The dog may be of any age (you CAN teach an old dog new tricks). I do not train aggressive dogs as I don't have the right experience for this however I can work with some fear based aggression towards other dogs, particularly with issues on walks etc.
My qualifications
I completed dog training school in the DSPCA and have a certificate from this. I have also completed several online courses on dog and pet behaviour and psychology. I have experience working in shelters, rescue centres, petminding in owners homes and regular dog walking.
